Letter to my future self

Letter to my future self

Do you remember when you couldn’t do it? Be a confident, secure, strong woman? You’ve come a long way. All those sleepless nights wondering if you’ll ever know the meaning of love and here you are, loving and living freely; most importantly: loving yourself.

You probably lost a few friends and knowing you it rattled you – right? Just remember people come and go and with each passing phase they serve a unique purpose; some relationships are meant to have sell-by dates, and you’ve learnt that that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Good for you.

How you getting on in the gym? All those years of half hearted glute exercises and poor diet did you ever learn how to lead a healthy and happy lifestyle? After all, you knew exactly how, you just needed a kick to do it.

You need to call your parents, ma. They care about you, and no doubt you still struggle with that but we all know you will struggle even more when they’re gone..

You’re finally doing what you love and you’re wondering what took you so long. So with that being said and this applies to every aspect of your life: stop wasting time analysing your emotions and just get shit done already.

I hope the meditating paid off, as you slowly release all of the toxic energy that you carried round with you for so many years. You’re not perfect and you realised that that’s ok. You also realised that love doesn’t only serve a purpose for you and your own expectations. Carry on exploring your heart, it can only lead to greater discoveries, Laura.

By the way: you’re going to be needed soon to help on this super cool project. You haven’t met the team yet but they need your help getting it off the ground, and between you and me – you’ve hit the jackpot baby girl.

  1. Do more, think less, sounds easy but in practice isn’t not. However I think this is the best way to live is by the gut, you know when something is right or wrong for you and what to do, just do it, forget the feelings associated with the situation just do it(like Nike said😌), I agree Laura

    • Practising what you preach is always a difficult task to be honest. Following your gut is important and it’s something I’m trying to do a lot more of, instead of ignoring those voices in my head which turn out to be right in the long run
